Alloy Bangers

Collection of 1/12th Alloy Bangers, including a modified pink and orange race car, a heavily damaged black race car, and a pink and orange Alloy banger head on, behind a sign reading `Stuart's RC Photos`.

Alloy Bangers are a full contact group using purpose built 0.5mm Aluminum body shells of there real life counter parts, these are mounted on a 3mm thick flat aluminum chassis powered by a brushed 540 size electric motor and 4 Cell Sub C NiMH battery pack and Electronic Speed Controller.

As the group had grown over the years there are now a number of Shell Builders and a couple of chassis options to suit all budgets.

ABS Bangers & Under 12’s

1/12th ABS Bangers , including a red car with a pink and blue car with number 209, and an orange car with racing advertisements and the number 477.

ABS Bangers are similar to their alloy counterparts a full contact group using the same motor and battery pack with the main differences being a 2mm thick ABS plastic body shell, body post and R clips and a manual speed controller. These have a much broader option on body shells and multiple chassis sizes available to suit the catalogue of shells. This is a more budget friendly contact group compared to Alloys with body shells starting for as little as £6.99

A fun and cost effective introduction into the hobby.

1300 Stock Cars

Four 1/12 1300 stock cars a carpet oval track, with two cars in the top row and two in the bottom row. The cars are brightly colored and decorated with various stickers and designs.

1300 stock cars are a more racing focus formula whilst still a contact group, as can been seen from the large front and rear bumpers contact is at your own risk as this aim of the game is to complete as many laps in the 5 minute race. Based on a GRP chassis these cars are lighter and more nimble they still use a 540 motor, 4.8v NiMH battery pack and electronic speed controller. Body shells options are focused around the hot hatch full size cars with Toyota Starlet and Vauxhall Tigra being predominately used.

Historic Stock Cars

Historic stock cars are the newest formula introduced to KnK RC Raceway, these are based of the 2 Litre saloon chassis with 70’s period saloon body shells. These use the same 540 motor but with a 6 cell 7.2v NiMH battery pack and electronic speed controller. They are fast punchy and a bit of a handful to master but make for some great racing as the grids continue to increase each meeting.
